    Pad Thai
Our kids really like this dish even though it has a slight kick to it. Even our yougest will finish half a plate before it becomes too spicy. Here it’s served with rice and fried mustard.

Heat oil in wok. Add broccoli, a dash of salt and a dash of mono-sodium glutamate. Stir-fry until broccoli is tender. If wok becomes too dry, add a dash of water and cover to cook broccoli quickly. Add snow peas and a dash of salt. Stir-fry one more minute. Remove from wok and set aside. Heat more oil in wok. Add curry and shrimp. Stir-fry until shrimp turns pink. Add remaining ingredients except for sugar. Bring to a boil. Turn heat to low. Add broccoli and snow peas. Stir. Add sugar. Stir and cook for 30 more seconds and serve with rice.

    1 Tblsp. vegetable oil
    mono-sodium glutamate
1 lb. fresh broccoli, chopped into bite-sized pieces
    1 lb. snow peas
    2 Tbsp. red curry
1 lb. shrimp, de-veined and shells removed
    1 tsp. oyster sauce
    2 tsp. fish sauce
1 lb. bamboo tips, sliced thinly
    1 can thick coconut milk
1 Tbsp. sugar (you may add more to suit your taste)
