Personally I am not a big fan of ginger, but this dish definitely would not taste the same without it. The rich flavor of beef is enhanced by the pungent ginger and garlic in this dish.

Heat wok and oil. When very hot and garlic, ginger, onion, a dash of m.s.g. and salt and stir-fry until ingredients becom pungent. Add beef, two dashes of salt and a dash of m.s.g. and stir-fry until beff is cooked. Add oyster sauce and fry for 30 more seconds. Taste-test and add more salt if desired. Serve with rice.

    2 Tblsp. oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
    1 small onion, sliced thinly
1/2 lb. beef tenderloin, sliced thinly into bit-sized pieces
    mono-sodium glutamate
    1 Tbslp. oyster sauce
